At the second FIRST CONTACT concert of the evening, two impressive musicians meet for the first time on stage: The 23-year-old singer Elena Schäfer, one of the most promising young voices in Austria, meets Christian Bakanic, probably the most famous and exciting “alternative” accordionist in the country.

Together they embark on an open musical journey between improvisation and song forms. Influences from New Age, jazz, and free sound exploration combine to create an emotional, often melancholic atmosphere – and at the same time a celebration of encounter, connection, and openness in making music together.
